Week 10 update St Benedict's School Pānui ā-rorohiko (Online Newsletter)
Arts Exhibition Thursday 3pm-6pm
The art is exploding out of the classrooms and down the corridors. Our tamariki are proud to share their art works with you and their wider family. Please feel free to bring extend whānau along to view the Exhibition. The Exhibition will be available for viewing from 3pm-6pm on Thursday 21st September and will include art work from Year 1 to Year 8. Please ignore the mistake in finish time on the Google Calendar and side bar of the newsletter, viewing finishes at 6pm. This years theme is Famous Artists and all classes have created artwork in the style of their chosen artist.
This event aims to allow our tamariki to experience what it might be like to have an art piece in a gallery. We expect your favourite art piece to be that of your child's! Beyond that we ask that you view the Art Exhibition as a whole, much like our production last year, as a school collaberation that celebrates our learners of all ages and art abilities.
School Board Strategic Plan Consultation Opportunity
During the art exhibition we will be launching our wider parent consultation for our revised strategic plan. Please contribute to our Strengths Challenges Threats Opportunities review by either adding an idea or ticking an idea you agree with.
We are also asking you to share your aspirations for St Benedict's Khandallah to our aspirations brainstorm. Again you can either adding an idea or tick an idea you agree with.
Friday House Dance Competition Students to wear house colours
This Friday at 2:30pm we are holding a House Dance Competition on the turf. Our tamariki have been preparing for the competition since term 2 with dances choreographed by each house. Our tamariki can wear house colours to school this Friday. Whānau are very welcome to be part of the audience, we hope to see you there.
